An all time favourite starting with my kindergarten readers all the way to grade six. This book was always in circulation and ragged as ever bearing testimony to the popularity.
The story with it's problem kindles thinking and solving Lima's burning mouth- with their own version of what to offer her - from papaya to popsicles! Fantastic visuals and great way to celebrate diversity and help with writing following a story circle.

I tried to post a comment, but it didn't work, I'll try again sorry if it's a dupe.Anyway, I think we need to be more caefurl in the sources we use, or trust. Alex Jones being one of the worse sources of information that there is, and someone who does more harm than good. First, it's definitely true that there are a lot of bad chemicals being put into our food, mainly things and decisions being done for profit. Certain chemicals prolong the life of the food, or make things cheaper to produce, etc etc. It's all about money to the companies and it'll remain that way until our lobbyist form of government is changed.Anytime a certain harmful chemical or what not is on the verge of being banned, or investigated, big companies lobby the government and usually win. Or, even worse they go out on a big misinformation campaign and try to persuade the world that their products aren't harmful. So, all in all very valid point. But, I can't help but cringe anytime I see someone reference Alex Jones. The same guy who on Y2k was reporting that ATM's across the country were shutting down, power plants were shutting down across the country, shortwave was down, military was highly visible , Russia threatened to nuke us, their missiles and subs were deployed against us, Putin looked possessed and was ready to take over the world, etc. The BS continued. Keep in mind he was trying to report these as actual factual events, when we all know none of which were true. He was fear mongering, that's what he does, he was trying to induce fear on Y2k. No why would someone put out false stories like that and try to have everyone believe them to be true? The question we also have to ask, is why Alex Jones refuses to talk about one of the most powerful secret societies in the world, the Jesuits..

You can't count on your elected oafciifls to do much. The best type of governance is self-governance. Be a good example: eat fruit and vegetables from organic farming, avoid eating meat (this includes chicken, fish, etc) and ditch the alcohol. Also, cut out all of those sugar-rich fizzy drinks I find it amazing that marketing companies have almost every teenager on the face of the planet drinking Red Bull (the Bull is short for bullshit) under the guise that they are energy drinks . Forget about the coffee, too. Fruit juice is the best if you have a juicer, try pineapple, rockmelon and kiwi fruit. It comes out all frothy, it's not too sweet and it tastes wonderful, plus it's nutritious and digested easily. Now THAT is a REAL energy drink!
